1. Who we are
Munchies Café (Munchies and Shakes) is a café and restaurant at #92 Murtala Mohammed Highway, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. This website lets you browse our menu, place and pay for an order, reserve a table or private event, create an account, apply for a job and contact us.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. Orders: your name, phone number, email, delivery address (Calabar only), order details and payment method. Reservations and events: your name, phone, email, date, time, guest count, occasion and notes. Messages: your name, email, phone, subject and message. Job applications: your name, contact details, preferred role, experience, personal statement and an optional CV or portfolio link. Accounts: your name, email, phone and password, plus your order history and loyalty points.
3. How your information reaches us
When you submit a form, your details are sent securely to our database (Supabase). Access is protected by row-level security and limited to authorised staff. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth and are never visible to us. We do not receive or store your card details.
4. How we use your information
To confirm, prepare and update you on your order, manage your reservation or event, reply to your message, review your application, power your account (order history and loyalty points), and contact you if there is an issue. If you opted in at signup, we may send you promotional updates. We do not sell your information or use it for unsolicited marketing.
5. Third-party services
Supabase stores our database and handles account sign-in. Paystack processes online card payments. When you pay, you enter your card details directly with Paystack, under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare Pages hosts this website and may process standard connection data, such as your IP address. Google Fonts supplies the fonts on this site.
6. Cookies and storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps your cart, recent orders and booking details on your own device so you can track them. Signed-in accounts use a session token to keep you logged in. You can clear this storage at any time in your browser settings.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete your account and its data, and opt out of promotional updates at any time. Contact us using the details below.
8. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
